Category:Position

A position is the intersection of a user and a poll. It is a person's or group's stance in regard to the issue of a poll.

Personal form

A personal position page is formed as a subpage of the person's top-level user page. The name of the position page is:

User : USERNAME / POLL-NAME

The POLL-NAME is the name of the poll that formalizes the issue. It always begins with an uppercase letter. In a multi-area wiki (such as this), the name usually contains one or more slashes, so that a position page is typically named:

User : USERNAME / AREA-NAME / p / SUB-NAME

To avoid conflict with position pages, users may therefore wish to name their non-positional, multi-level subpages with a leading lowercase letter. For example, the second name below is a better choice:

User:Joe-AcmeCom/Subpages/Why I love pollwikis/Part 2
User:Joe-AcmeCom/subpages/Why I love pollwikis/Part 2 (better)
