A group of users is a group because their names are collected together on a voter registration list.

This drawing is an example of how a combined list might be created from 2 groups.

These groups have nothing really to do with areas or divisions necessarily.

This relates in some ways to vote processing because there are 2 components that are both using the custom list.

User becomes member of group 1 User is added to voter list User creates account on Pollwiki and Pollserver Users user-page is marked up with a link to the relevant polls for the user's group User joins a subgroup of Group 1 called Group 2 User is added to the voter list for Group 2 User casts a vote in a poll for Group 1

Rules Each user can only have one vote per poll If a user is on 2 registration lists both of which are applied to the same poll those lists must be combined in some way

User joins group Group places a user on voter registration list (with a certain username, and gives them a key) User joins the pollwiki and places key into userpage User returns to their site and confirms their account on the pollwiki User creates account through pollwiki to pollserver Uses can see a list of polls that are relevant User casts a vote in poll 1 User vote in poll 1 triggers vote processing rules Voteprocessor makes new information available to the group
