P2P/Poll Decision Conditions
Poll Decision Conditions are the conditions by which a poll is to be considered "carried."
Here are a few of the condition types under consideration and subject to experiment:
Quorum
Some % or an exact number, relative to the total number of users qualified to vote. A quorum can be any percentage. This quorum is required before the vote can be considered official.
Review period
An amount of time needed to research whether the results of the poll are fair and just
Threshold Delay
Once a certain number of votes is reached a delay period of X days/months/until date is activated. During this time, additional votes can be placed, new positions may rise to the top, but no positions will come into effect in that time. Threshold delays are tricky in the sense that it's important to be sure that everyone knows which policy is in effect during the delay.
Freezing period
This might be phrased "When the text was frozen (has not changed) for X days/months and has still a minimum number of Y votes, the poll is considered complete." This gives every voter enough time to check, if he/she still wants to vote for the latest version of the text.
Rolling Count
A rolling count is when a certain quantity of voters vote for one position or another, together, for a certain duration of time. This might be phrased "When 60% of the voters vote for one position for 6 months the poll be considered complete." The quorum is 60% and the rolling count is 6 months.
