Wiki:Quantitive summation
Quantitive summation is a counting method in which resource pledges are summed arithmetically by their amounts. In this method, each pledge follows the vote of its pledger. When the vote is received by a candidate and one of the vote's associated pledges is found to have the same account name as an account defined by that candidate,1 then the pledged amount accrues to the account. If the method of vote counting allows for a single vote to be received by multiple candidates,2 then the pledge may thereby accrue to multiple accounts. In any case, the voter is always free to shift the vote or withdraw the pledge. The pledge is redeemable only if the candidate's position is executed, and then only according to the terms of the associated position draft.
A candidate may use the /account template to define account pages, and the /pledge template as a base for templates provided to the voters. Both the account page and the pledge template may be combined into a single page.
