03:43 < mcallan> conseo: i have to run tests on your copy/delete code for FileX. sorry, may sound paranoid, but both wiki and diff caches are sensitive to permissions in certain edge cases. to save time, can you document the effects on permissions, ownership and modtime? or are they exactly like a copy?
12:30 < conseo> ok, i am testing the routine
15:10 < conseo> ok, now i have to apologize, i will revert the change to calling mv, it keeps file properties and is most likely more reliable
15:10 < conseo> the current code does not keep file owners of executable rights
15:16 < mcallan> maybe you can still keep the code. name it renameFromDefaultsToCopyDelete. it will have no callers yet, but maybe later. it copies a file in an interesting way, i never saw before. maybe FileX.copyAs() can be improved (later!) on that pattern
15:20 < mcallan> conseo: (i should have pointed out how sensitive to that the cache code is earlier, slipped my mind
20:08 < conseo> mcallan: ok, reverted and pushed
20:08 < conseo> what do you think about using this: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/web?v=1.0&q=http:\/\/u\.zelea\.com:8080\/v/w\/D%20site:metagovernment.org to crawl archives?
20:21 < conseo> i came across it yesterday and found it funny that we can use the diff-url as well in web search engines to find related posts
