Scenes for Crossforum Theatre. (This is the original theatre app, though it will soon be narrowed down to a set of scenes for the new stage app.) Crossforum Theatre is a prototype UI over the Outcast voting network [obsolete name]. Basically we're trying to develop a viewport that can show all the people, places and unfolding events of e-democracy in semi-real time. This seems to require a temporal feed (left) and a spatial scene (right). If we can make the stage machinery general-purpose enough and float it at high enough a level, then maybe we can bring the entire field into focus. See theatrePlan.png for the layout of the UI, and the votespace mockups for a sense of what it'll eventually look like (the live version is not quite there, yet).
The theatre app is little more than test code, at this stage, so it's nothing much to look at. Click on the following links to switch among combinations of components (feeds and maps). These combinations use the dummy feed:
These ones use live diff feed. Note: it may take 10 minutes for the first bite to appear in the feed (something we need to FIX).
Your first click on these links should open the app in a separate window, your second should merely alter its confirguration. If the app opens in a tab instead, then click on the tab and tell it to "open in a new window"; or drag the tab onto your desktop, and it should open separately.
