Simplex-wide demonstrations and screen shots.

These pages are from older design generations of textbender, and of EDGE (which preceded it). They are posted here as examples of a particular approach to recombinant text, known as ‘simplex-wide’.

Simplex-wide (at least on its own) is actually unsuitable for the types of application shown in these pages (collaborative literary composition and translation). In practice, it would be restricted to a narrower range of applications (including recombinant lexicography, perhaps). To escape this restriction, mainstream development now has shifted to other approaches.
