Branches a revision line.

Converts a copy of a document into a new working document, branching the revision line of the original. The original might be another author's work that you want to carry on with, in parallel; or your own, that you want to branch into an alternative variant. Also stamps new, original working documents with their unique identifiers.

Has a command-line interface (undocumented). Also a user-applet interface, as documented in the textbender demo instructions.
